mp3: Empty Pools: “Absentees”
By Nancy Hoang | October 14, 2012 | Posted Under: New Tracks

This track’s instrumentation alone will blow you away. It’s a tremendous wave of fresh air to hear such strong instrumentals after the onslaught of chemistry and biology I’ve had to endure recently. From listening to the song itself, one can sense that Empty Pools is British. The influences are there, no doubt. But the overall feel of the song is worldly, as in anyone can fall in love with the band and with the song. At the 2:50 mark in the song makes me want to run a marathon. The high energy pace of “Absentees” is infectious just like the song itself.
