What gives you the authority to say such things about people’s music, their craft, their life?
Well for starters, this is my website sooo… just kidding. I get that my opinions and content aren’t for everyone but it’s also exactly that. This website is my little place on the web to share what I think and what you choose to do or believe, even if it differs from my opinion, is your freedom to do so. I respect that. And in saying that, I don’t really care what you do with your life. So if you choose to think otherwise on my opinions, feel free to share such thoughts via a comment on the post or send an email (which sounds like a lot of effort). Perhaps you can change my mind about it, who knows?
I appreciate opposing views on music, the weather, or whether or not I should eat nachos for dinner (advisedly no, but probably yes). Feel free to disagree with me. Whatever happens, I’ll understand and wish you well.
ur opinion is invalid
Who runs this website?
I do, Nancy Hoang! Read my vapid and self-absorbed about page here: hopelessthunder.org/about
How did you get started in this business?
I started playing around with graphic & web design in middle school. I taught myself with programs like Corel Paint Shop Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Animation Shop, Camtasia Studio, and various FTP programs for coding. I’ve always loved English & writing, & I didn’t want to lose touch with that while in university so I branched into music journalism. More?
Where can I send a press release?
Email me with your press release.
Are you accepting staff writers/photographers?
The purpose of HT is to have a singular voice and outlook on music & photography. There have been few exceptions I’ve made to this by featuring other writers & photographers but I generally try to have my sole outlook represented on the website. I will however refer you to other outlets looking for staff if I happen to know of any.
Why am I not featured on your website Spotify playlist?
Sometimes I forget to update it because Spotify irritates me or because you didn’t come up in the search results when I tried.
I want to start my own blog. How should I start?
Good for you! Well for starters, depending on your situation, I would advise to always work for yourself. That way, you get complete creative control, you don’t have to abide by anyone else’s rules, and there’s no one to edit your words without your knowledge. As far as platforms go, I will always stand by WordPress. I’ve spent 8 years with it and I won’t be changing anytime soon. Squarespace is also a powerful website builder and if you look hard enough, there are coupon codes for it. I say do what makes you happy. With whatever platform you choose, you’ll be able to design the website in your head and from there it’s up to you to create awesome content.

I don’t agree with your review on __. How can you say that?
Why let me refer you to the Bill of Rights: wikipedia.org/Bill_of_Rights
WikiPedia isn’t a valid resource!
How dare you besmirch their good name!
