UGHHH THE LAST 4 MONTHS HAVE BEEN SUCH HELLLL!

Well, not really but they’ve been so grueling and piled with so much work it’s ridiculous. I don’t remember the last time I’ve had a social life. haha. I miss last year when I could go hang out with my friends without worrying about a test and not having enough time to study for it. For the past 4 months, I’ve had at least one test a day every single day. And all the AP’s I’m taking are killing me. Not to mention I have the AP teachers in my normal honors classes so they teach us more than we need to know and half of what they teach us isn’t even on the Regents in May so we’re learning extra stuff other Honors kids aren’t learning. :x Ugh, life is just great. lol

But the past few months haven’t been too bad. At the same time it feels like it took so long to get here but it was really fast too. I know I always feel like that after Christmas Break, the year goes by so fast I feel like I’m already an adult and going off to college. Seriously, the last 15 minutes of my day were absolutely grueling because I spent the last 3 periods of my day in Chemistry, even though I love Chemistry, I just wanted to go home and die.

But now school’s over, well at least for the next 11 days and even though it’s filled with more course work and studying for midterms I’m gonna be able to relax and do whatever I want for once! IM EXCITED! TOOK LONG ENOUGH DAMMIT! But today was an amazing day so it evens out with the waiting. :love: Also, I made these amazing snowman cookies that I forgot to take a picture of but they were absolutely delicious and everyone loved them.

Also, I wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday! I hope you all spend them with your loved ones and instead of being all about the gifts, you see the real reason behind Christmas and that’s to be with your loved ones and appreciating all you have in life.

So today marks the one year anniversary of the day I opened up my domain, Hopeless Thunder! It’s been such a great year with this website and I’ve experienced so much since having it! I’ve met and have been able to known some great people through this website, including my wonderful host and friend, Fay, whom I wouldn’t have been able to create this website without, so here’s to you Fay! Thank you for all the help you’ve given me and being patient with me because I’m not the brightest bulb but you were always there!

Can you believe it? I didn’t even realize until I had gotten an email that I’ve had the website for a year already! It was just so mind boggling because it seems like just yesterday I opened, with my New Beginnings layout which I absolutely adored and kept up for months. :oops:

And I remember that feeling I had when I was told I was getting a domain from Fay. It was so great, it’s like my training wheels were being taken off and I could roll with the big boys. And that feeling when I first opened my website, those first comments, all the firsts I had with this website; they were just wonderful.

I really don’t know what else to day, lol. Were you one of the people who were able to experience the first day of my website opening one year ago? I wish I could get that feeling again. :wink:

BUT IT’S BEEN A WHOLE YEAR! HOW FREAKING CRAZY??

So you guys probably know that one of the resources I provide that are very popular with my visitors are my PhotoFiltre tutorials. But most of you don’t know why I’d choose such a program to feature so many tutorials on. Well lets see, it all started one day in 2007 when I came upon the concept of making a website for my extremely dumb joke with my friends. I wanted to make a website featuring this joke, Asian Pride Club, oh dear it’s heart wrenching even thinking about this lol, anyways I made a website for it and discovered that people used fancy little programs to make pretty pictures with! Wow that was one hell of a run on sentence. lmao. SO being cheap as I was and not wanting to pay for something that was just a joke I found this free program called PhotoFiltre and started making layouts with it!

Such as this attrocious masterpiece which I believe to be my second layout I ever made?

And there weren’t any good tutorials back then for this program which I found to have great potential if someone would give it a chance and try to make something amazing with it. So that’s why I started making tutorials for it. If someone were there to help me and have great tutorials when I first started out, I’d be so grateful, so why not be that person for someone else?

Now getting to the point, I’ve been featured in an article by GuideToArtSchools.com and it’s a very well written and informative article about the 11 Best Free Photo Editing Programs and my website is featured under the PhotoFiltre section if you wanna check it out!

Who has noticed I just stopped writing blogs and adding updates? If you haven’t you’re probably one of those people who just use my website for resources and don’t bother even looking at the blog. If you are one of those people, go away.

I miss some of my old affiliates and friends I made since I’ve created this website. A lot of them go away and decide to leave their websites or we just lose touch, I hate that. I really miss the old way web design was.

Even though Tiffany from Color Splatter came back after months of being gone, there’s still all those other people who I had a friendship with who are gone. Kristin from Instant Rock if you happen to read this, I miss you dearly! And I miss other people as well so sorry if I don’t mention you!

Now everyone has conformed.

And I’m not into that! I don’t like conformity! And if you’ve made your site into that then go away! Even though I haven’t been on the site much I’m always here! I’m just not making blogs and updates. I want a change. I miss my old vintage style where I USED PEOPLE. It wasn’t always celebrities but I miss using PEOPLE. I miss my vintage style<3

Usually when most people make a change they do something new. Well I’m not like most people! I’m going back to the past and making things how I used to. But this will be a long and slow process because I’ve been so busy with school. Blah blah, the same excuse that everyone always says.

I think “I’ve been busy with school” has become the new “my dog ate my homework” excuse for websites.

I hate how every website has a certain style and everyone’s the same now. I miss when people were creative and did what made them happy. Everything is a sleek boring WordPress theme style now and I admit I fell into that trap a bit too; but I’m not going to conform and I’m going my own way.

Expect changes, but they will need time. I WILL work on requests! THEY’RE IN MY INBOX AND WILL GET FINISHED CALM YOUR BUTT.

I hope everyone has an amazing Thanksgiving, whether it’s big or small, it’s about family and that’s all that matters! Also the pumpkin pie! lol It’s been a while since I’ve blogged and I apologize for that but I just wanted to blog today because I remember two years ago when I was on FreeWebs and I blogged on Thanksgiving and it just made me happy with all the “Happy Thanksgivings!” I got and all the gifts, it was just a great time and it was that overall happiness everyone had that just made me so happy. I guess it’s that holiday season and cheer that does that to people.

Here are the things I’m grateful for:

• My family because without them, I would be lost.
• My home, it’s my safe haven and just where I need to be when I’m sad.
• Food, I’m so grateful I have food on the table every night because I know many children go to sleep hungry at night.
• My friends, without them I wouldn’t know what to do.
• My website and all my visitors, you guys have kept me going and have broadened how I see things now. My life has changed since I’ve had this website and it’s been a great journey.
