The So So Glos @ The Studio at Webster Hall 05/23/2013

I only got to see the So So Glos perform two songs because two songs was all that I—and my laptop hidden between my legs—could handle last night at the Studio at Webster Hall for the band’s MTV Hive Presents showcase. And you know what? If I’m going to get a concussion, it’s going to be for something awesome—like an epic Nerf Gun war (again)—not because some dick who was high as a kite and twice my size fell on my head. But for the short two songs that I was able to see, the So So Glos were fantastic. Enigmatic, charming, energetic are just a few words to describe this Brooklyn band. I can only imagine that the rest of the set was absolutely stellar.

P.S. — Amuse me, if you watched the live stream: did you see my death glares and violent cursing? :)
P.P.S. — Pray for my laptop, I don’t know if it’ll make it through.
P.P.P.S. — To the nice gentleman who advised that I move to the side stage as to protect my camera, sorry I left so abruptly. If you didn’t see me, I had just jabbed the guy behind me. Don’t worry, MTV probably caught it on tape. Hello lawsuit!

“We’re not the Mets, we’re So So Glos, and tonight so are all of you.”

The So So Glos is Alex Levine, Ryan Levine, Matt Elkin, Zach Staggers.

Edit: Yes, I brought my laptop with me. While we’re at it, I also brought my iPad. And the camera I used to take the photos. I also had a Nutella sandwich and some Ritz crackers in my backpack. A couple of pens, a pack of gum, and my pet rhinoceros. Judge me, I came from work.
