Step 1
Open up Photofiltre and your picture you want to make into a MySpace “Preppy” Sign. Save this sun vector made by me and open it up too.

Step 2
Now on your sun vector go to Adjust >> Replace Color and replace the gray color with any color you want. I made the Tolerance: 30.

Step 3
Do this for the black and white stripes on your vector too so that after you’re done replacing all the colors, it looks like this.

If you want to use the same colors I’m using, save the following and use the Dropper tool to get these colors:

Step 4
Save this brush.
Now using the Magic Wand tool, select one of the stripes and then go to Filter >> PhotoMasque. Go to your My Picture folder and find the zebra brush and click it.

Step 5
Then with the selection still there go to Filter >> Stylize >> Progressive Contour and set your settings as mine:

Step 6
Repeat Steps 4 & 5 for all of the stripes of the same color. It should look like this when you’re done:

If you want to make it easier to find those brushes when you’re using the PhotoMasque tool instead of having to find your way to the My Pictures folder, move all those brushes into your Masks folder in your Program Files of Photofiltre.
Computer >> OS (C:) >> Program Files >> Photofiltre >> Masks.

Step 7
Save this brush.

Using the Magic Wand tool, on all of my blue stripes I will put this brush on with the Photomasque tool.

After you apply the brush with the PhotoMasque, with the selection still there, right click on the selection and select Stroke and Fill. Make your settings as mine:

When you’re done it should look like this:

Step 8
Save this brush.
Now on all of my purple stripes, I’ll use this brush.

When you’re done it should look like this:

Step 9
Save this picture of Selena Gomez. Duplicate it by going to Image >> Duplicate.

Using the Selection tool on the Polygon setting, make a selection all around Selena.

Go to Selection >> Expand >> 25.

Step 10
Now click the Gradient button and fill it with whatever colors you want.

Step 11
Go to Image >> Duplicate to duplicate the gradient.

Then go back to the original gradient and make sure the selection is still there. If it’s not there you did something wrong. If it’s there, go to Selection >> Expand >> 4.

Step 12
Save this pattern.

Right click on the selection and select Stroke and Fill. Uncheck Stroke and check Fill. Now click the folder icon and look for the pattern you just saved.

Step 13
Copy and paste it onto your sun vector. Move it into the position you want.

Step 14
Now on the duplicate of the gradient, go to Image >> Transparent Color and whatever the background of the gradient is, select that as the color you want to go away.

Step 15
Copy and paste the gradient and paste it onto the sun vector on top of the pattern.

Step 16
Now on the duplicate of Selena that hasn’t been altered, make a selection all around her. Copy and paste her into the sun vector.

Step 17
Save this brush.

Now using the Magic Wand tool, select the gradient around Selena and using the PhotoMasque tool, fill it with the brush previously saved.

Step 18
Go to Adjust >> Auto Contrast.

Step 19
Add text and other effects and you’re done! If you want to know how to make Preppy Text, click here.
